Valvrave started out as a So Bad, It's Good show and then quickly turned into Complete Shit when that scene happened. I won't delve further into this because hell no, but it was offensive and clearly made for the sake of shock value. And then I stopped watching after the first episode of season 2 because I couldn't take it anymore. Let's make it about the lead guy's manpain instead! Blech.

I heard the ending to that show was really terrible, too.
